Dr. Sarah Crawford was born and raised in Austin, Texas. Since a young age she was interested in veterinary medicine and has followed in her grandfather’s footsteps who was a veterinarian in West Jefferson, Ohio; and her aunt who is an internist at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus, New Jersey. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Dallas with a BA in Psychology. She received her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She spent the first six years of her career working emergency medicine and has continued to do so when time allows. Since then she has worked in small animal practice. Her professional interests include internal medicine, endocrinology, emergency and critical care, and preventative care. Since age 8 she has enjoyed playing the cello and currently plays with the Austin Civic Orchestra. When not at the hospital she enjoys spending time with her fiance hiking, traveling, watching movies and listening to live music. She currently shares her home with her cat, Walter, and the backyard with her sulcata tortoise, Sheldon.
