Dr. Sarah Crawford was born and raised in Austin, Texas.  She showed an early interest in veterinary medicine, following in the footsteps of her grandfather and her aunt, both veterinarians.

Dr. Crawford received her undergraduate degree from the University of Dallas with a BA in Psychology. She received her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She spent the first six years of her career working in emergency medicine and then moved to small animal practice, while still dedicating time to emergency medicine when possible. Her professional interests include internal medicine, emergency and critical care, and preventative care.

When not at the hospital she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, hiking, traveling, watching movies, and listening to live music.  She has enjoyed playing the cello since age eight and currently plays with the Austin Civic Orchestra. She shares her home with her cat, Walter, and the backyard with her sulcata tortoise, Sheldon.
