Spicewood Springs Animal Hospital has the capability to care for most illnesses.
Hospitalized patients are kept in the main treatment area to ensure they are under our watch at all times.
We have multiple automated fluid pumps for accurate administration of IV fluids and medication. There is an oxygen cage for animals needing an enhanced oxygen environment. We also have an isolation unit for pets with infectious diseases that need specialized care.
We are not a 24-hour critical care facility. Therefore, we may recommend continued monitoring at another hospital. We work closely with a nearby Austin emergency hospital who can continue your pet’s care overnight. In the case of critically ill animals we may recommend taking your pet to a specialty hospital.
